Silver Lining - On final
After I mess around with it a bit, maybe not such a bad idea. I think I will make another .020 S/L designed to accept this.

But this engine arrives today and it will go on this one.

.049 and .010 versions - winter projects.
But, I love this.........Nobler-ish

You won't have to wait to get it from eBay -- it was recently posted of Outerzone for download.

The PeeWee looks very nice especially with its red anodizing very much intact… Probably has never been mounted, Most of them are scratched up…. I’ve found that even the #2 button head screws ( for hex drive) heads are a little too large in diameter and will foul the tank… I drill a hole in the end of a small dowel and start them part way then reduce the diameter a little more with a stone in the Dremel …

Centurys ago I was insane about engine mounting hardware. On 1/2A engines I would place 2/56 machine screw nuts on the back of firewalls (engine screwed in place) and epoxy the whole thing onto a model. Short screws, then when dry back them out and finish the build. Lot's of trouble. Now I just drill pilot holes in the installed firewall and use #2 1/2" brass slotted screws (small packets at Lowes.) I have never had an engine come loose. I use them on test stands too.
This is a new engine August 22 1994. Box a mess but a PO took the time to saran wrap the accessories.

A Dumbo with a Cox attached to his butt Rene. Ouch!. I love it. Where's Levent.

Saved it Andrew. Now to get someone to cut the whole thing out for me.

Just trace this outline around a piece of Luan, slap a little sanding sealer on it and connect another balsa .020 (edition 2.0
) S/L and I'm in business.

But, but.....................I am really happy about this find, first edition Baby Spitfire W/M Aeromite, super rare and in this condition. Cleaning up well, body posts intact, soldering iron heat brought out the needle without damage as with the mounting screws. About 65/70 years old, must have spent a lot of time in someones cool space.

It's later Wen Mac engine younger brother. Posted about it sometime ago.
