Wow, No way I paid $599.99 for my son's. If I had I sure would not have trashed it.

Has anyone actually seen a chopper II in person or owns one? The trike on eBay in the chopper II box is not a chopper II based on the pictures and manual.

And as if by magic, the first time I have ever seen one for sale in over 25 years of collecting these type of things, poof, there it is on eBay. A Cox chopper II. Go figure.

Re: Cox Trike / Chopper Restoration - Speedometer Decal?
Nice job, @ckalkhof , on headlamp cover. You taught me something new. I didn't know such do-it-yourself moulding techniques existed. What did you use for the clear material, Epoxy or polyester resin? Who makes this kit to do such beautifully accurate cloning?
By the way, here is a way to shorten your URL. This eliminates your tracking information after the item number. It gives the same result with better privacy:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/275980650636
1972 COX Chopper II Trike Motorcycle w/.049 Model Engine *NEW SLICKS*, Ended: Aug 10, 2023 18:20:01 PDT, Winning bid: US $579.00, [28 bids]

It garnered a tiddy sum of cash I gather because of its rarity and in such pristene condition.

Thank you!

I use smooth-on crystal clear 202. Over the years I have tried many different types of clear casting resin. The 202 works the best for me - in thin castings - and doesn't turn yellow and is optically clear.

Re: Cox Trike / Chopper Restoration - Speedometer Decal?
@ckalkhof , I added another quick question just a few seconds before you replied regarding source, sorry about that.
However, a bit of good, I did a search on your 202 clear resin product and found:
Reynolds Advanced Materials: for Making Things
This helps to explain how you casted the mould to make the clear lens.
