hi All,
i need a Cox Thimble Drome .049 CI engine for my Mercedes Benz W-196 Racer . Does anyone have one in stock ? or suggestions as to where i can find one ? Please help Thanks

Just about any .049 engine will work for your application. Do you have one in the car currently?
The only thing special on that car is the 5cc stunt tank. If you do have the original engine and it's just worn then all you need is a cylinder set.
I guess if you provide more info we could probably help a little more.

Isn't something about the front end of the crankcase different on car engines? A thicker nose, maybe. Paul Gibeault said some mouse racers preferred to use the car engines for this reason.

The thicker nose on car engines is there to accomodate the drive mechanism of the car. Being a specialized item these engines are more difficult and expensive to acquire.
Look for them on e-bay.
