First time stunting in 25 years.
My tributes to the gods of gravity, aerodynamics, and overconfidence.

My Mentor is one tough plane. I just need a little larger elevator.

Hey, you tried! Get used to your props and planes looking like that for a while. I bet you had fun though!

Re: First time stunting in 25 years.
Props are cheap. I had a blast. I had one more prop that kept me flying the rest of the evening. I'm getting a handful of extras today and another gallon of fuel.
The "Mentor" is a reinforced foam wing profile plane. The first prop broke at the bottom of an inside loop. The second one bit the dust (literally) when I tried (unintentionally) to land upside down. Had to straighten out the landing gear from the first oops. Other than that, still flying.

Wish I had something like that when I was learning. My planes got demolished when I was learning. I got pretty good at quick repairs though.

Build 2 or 3 planes that are the same. The fun lasts longer!
You will get over this plowing and planting phase. Takes time and practice, and some dare-doing.

Confucius say:
"The longest journey begins with the first step."
Over time your reflexes have dulled so remember that it will take time and experience to sharpen them. Don't try anything fancy until your restore your confidence.

This is what I found so "enticing" about the CEF Speed Contest... "level flight"... after not having flown since 1994?
I'll probably get "spanked hard" by the dizzies though... fall down and wreck my plane..
Maybe I should throw an engine in my "Cosmic Wind"... and get some practice in with "it" first... yea... I think that might be the safe thing to do.
