Model Airplane Monday !

Model Airplane Monday !
So, 'My Other Cousin Bob' (the one with the plane-eating tree named after him) and his son Steve were able to come down for a few days and we actually pulled off a flying day with my Uncle Wayne, and with Beth taking about 1200 digital photos !
The only day that worked with all our schedules was Monday, and we got together at Cairo's Airport, flying off the same dead-end ramp we've used since the 1970's. With thick clouds occasionally misting on us, but without any out-right rain, the weather was just about perfect for staring stuff in the sky.
After a LOT of sifting and cropping, here are some of the images from a great time.
Steve, Bob, Uncle Wayne and me with some some of our toys...
My Super Ringmaster got 4 more flights, and came home in one piece, as did all the other planes we flew.
Wayne brought his Saito-powered Cub...
Steve and M.O.C.B. pose behind Steve's e-powered pattern plane.
Bob taxies one of his planes out for takeoff...he and Steve were packing all electrics.
No, Bob's not in pain...this is his "Flying Face"...
Wayne and the Dumas (Veco) Scout he built in 1968...
Not to be confused with his control line Scout...Wayne's Ace Air Scout...
Big Red gets cranked up...
Just like the Old Days...Beth takes a break to watch the action on this old, castor-stained ramp..

Great job! Thanks for the photo-illustrated flight report. Everybody looks happy.
Eric, you should know a Pylon racer when you see one, since you live in the heart of Pylon Racing country in our area.

Eric, that was a great video. Click on Vimeo to watch full screen. The only names I recognize are Dub Jett and Randy Smith.

It looks way more intense that I'm cut out for. I admire the modelers and pilots that can compete at that.
