Fall S.M.A.L.L. has Begun!

Fall S.M.A.L.L. has Begun!
After spending a couple nights at the Best Western in Chester, Illinois during last weekend's World-Wide Ringmaster Fly-a-Thon at Breezy Hill, I find myself parked in my camper just outside Little Rock, Arkansas for the Fall S.M.A.L.L. Fun-Fly.
I got a late start...usually, I'm in here on Tuesday night, but had to make sure I hit the P&G Retiree Product Give-Away late yesterday.
SO now, I got to get myself a good nights sleep and play catch up. Unfortunately, we got 20-35mph winds forecast through the next few days...but we will see.
Ought to have photos and maybe video tomorrow!

Re: Fall S.M.A.L.L. has Begun!
Our Friday turned out to be a lot more flyable than first thought. The forecast winds and storms never showed up, with just a breeze through the day and calm air in the evening. Lots of flights got put up toward sunset.
My "Three Amigos": the Ranger, Little Traveler, and Q-Tee all got some evening flights, though I've kinda fallen down on taking videos on this trip.
Today, the Lazy Bee will get its flights with the Nobler maybe doing the control line thing on the other side of the woods.
Photos to follow.

The first video from this year's Fall S.M.A.L.L.
Got some more footage and photos I'm working through...just slow going with the World-Wide Ringmaster Fly-a-Thon and Fall S.M.A.L.L. happening so close together.

Thank you for sharing Kim!
The TD .010 Shoestring was a treat!
CG looked a bit rearward in the air, followed by a tip stall at landing.
Great camera work per the norm, nice zoom in effort.
000 steel wool will clean up that gnarly glow plug lol.

It belongs to Guy from California (can't remember his last name) and he made its first flights at Fall S.M.A.L.L. (in the video above).
I'm thinking also that it might have had a slightly aft CG, and that the engine might have needed a bit of down thrust added, but it survived, and I'm sure will again appear at S.M.A.L.L.

OK , I just watched the Video, the film crew did a nice job as usual. The shoestring was flying pretty good , but you’re right , it needs tweaked a little. I was going to order one from Willie Nillies , but I think it’s a little small for my aging eyeballs .Kim wrote:akjgardner wrote:Who’s Willie Nillie Shoestring is that Kim , and did it fly well

Yeah, but with a Tee Dee .020 and a bellcrank, I think it'd be a bodacious circle-turner!!!!

Re: Fall S.M.A.L.L. has Begun!
With three weekends in a row of great toy airplane events, I got a bit behind in sorting through the photos and videos, and getting them organized.
Here is the second from this year's Fall S.M.A.L.L. at Plumerville, near Little Rock, Arkansas.
