Hey those are cool but they only protect one side of the finger and for me the cuts usually happen in the back of my finger.

Use section of heater hose. Durable and cheap. I had comercial soft rubber unit and Mas ter airscrew cut it easy as butter. Heater hose auto works divine.

over the years, I've found that a 1/4" ID automotive fuel line with 1/4" wood dowl pushed thru it, seems to work pretty good on .40 sized engines and is still small enough for 1/2a's

Now, in the old days, when men were men (and a bit stupid!) you weren't considered a real aeromodeller unless your forefinger was a mass of scar tissue!
