Cox Engine of The Month
Enya .06 with Rear Venturi

Enya .06 with Rear Venturi
E-Bay has a fairly rare Enya with no bidders so far and 5 days left. Thought someone here might be interested. I don't know the seller nor background, so YMMV (your mileage may vary).

Re: Enya .06 with Rear Venturi
This post caused me to get on the e-bay and check around
Shttrman has a wide (er) variety of Control line engines right now for sale and prices are not unreasonable for several of his offerings
Quite a few OS CL engines...SS, LA, FP and FX in .20, .25, .35, .40, and .46 maybe more but some of these caught my eye
Worth a look see

Re: Enya .06 with Rear Venturi
Not long ago a new example of this engine sold for around $250 and a really nice no box sandcast .29 went for $284 IIRC. I have seen Enya prices escalate over the past couple of years from bargains to prices that even I would not consider.
This one is used so will go for less I would think, but you never know. I don't have that model so I might be a bidder if it stays reasonable. But my sniper friends already have it in their sights.

Re: Enya .06 with Rear Venturi
Being a .06, can't say for sure, but imagine power is probably akin to may be a Medallion .049. Unique is that it has the original red anodized bulkhead mount, which would look really sharp in a legacy free flight or R/C plane of the 1950's. Alas, I've got enough small engines that although I really have an affinity for such, must forgo.
Else, what am I going to do with the stash of A.C. Gilbert Thunderhead .074's and .11's I've hoarded?

Re: Enya .06 with Rear Venturi
After doing a little research, this Enya .06 is Enya's first and a reed valve one at that. Version II .06 changed to a front rotary valve one. As in all Enyas, with each new iteration was corresponding improves in power. My guess on this one is its power was probably similar to Black Widow, especially with the lower compression glow plug head, not a powerhouse, but probably a very nice running sport engine.
