Starting a Wen Mac and Testors engine
Hi folks,
I am needing info on starting a "vintage" .049 Wen Mac and Testors engines. Have correct fuel, glow head clip, etc. I'm down to rigging a battery set up to try and heat up the glow plugs. Not even sure if they work. Need to know how to set the needle vavle to "start" then to "run" these engines. Both engines appear well used, so I don't think "run-in" will be a concern. No local help and have been unable to find this information online.
Thanks,
MMT

Re: Starting a Wen Mac and Testors engine
They are just like cox engines. Prime the side of the piston to get a feel for how to prime it and to run of the prime. Then connect a tank and draw fuel up to the ventury only. Set the needle to around 2.5 turns, prime, fire and adjust needle from there.
