Sanye - maker of AP, ASP, Magnum, and others is no more
This was posted on RCU two years ago, but it was information I was unaware of, but it explains a lot. This is why we have not been seeing any more of its stencil engines being stocked and sold any more. Some have replied recently to that thread. Looks like those of us with these engines now have another brand orphaned.
RCU: Official notice about ASP, Magnum, and others.
Another engine manufacturer has bit the dust. Did they also make Brodak engines?

*UPDATE* Just to let you know that the sad news that the ASP factory has in fact closed and will not be reopening. This is a sad day for the Hobby in general. We are able continue to buy spares as long as their stocks last and will honour existing warranties as far as possible. As to the future, we will continue to give the great service you have come to expect supplying OS and NGH engines, in addition, we are now stocking Saitos again whilst exploring options for smaller 2 stoke glow engines. Most of you knew that the factory also produced SC, Magnum and Evolution as well Kyosho engines, these too will be affected.
Sanye Precision Machinery Co. was the name of the factory that made ASP, Magnum, SC, PH, RCV, Kyosho, Evolution engines. It's sad news indeed. Ironically, many of the USA and EU engine makers went out of business due to the low cost Asian engines. Now that resource has dried up as well. Thunder Tiger and Leo (makers of many rebranded engines) in Taiwan are also long gone.

To my knowledge ,
Brodak engines are made in Moldavia by "Double Star" F2B engine factory.

Check out the bay more often ,you will find new ones + box
at reasonable price by "buy now".
Why ? because new poison laws in my homeland Methanol market is almost gone.
Today it´s very difficult to come by glow fuel.
The very last Diesel fuel producer from UK is gone for good .

This is sad But there are still fuel alternatives, it's a shame that the more times change, everything becomes more sanitized. because new poison lawsgermanbuddy wrote:Check out the bay more often ,you will find new ones + box
