Judging by what I have seen of yours, I don't think there is much you have forgotten. Everything looks great from here. It is great to have someone like you here to help others out.

Let us all know about the kits you are cutting, maybe we can make it worth your while.

i downloaded a bunch (20-30) old plans from outerzone
one that i like is the stuka stunt
the one i am working on now is for getback.
if he wouldn't mind sharing i could figure out a price but i would like to get one put together before offering it. i put probably 15 hours into interpreting/redrawing this one as it was a real mess starting with scanning a bunch of pages and that does not include what i am doing now. once the plan is drawn i have to lay it out for cutting and that can take quite a bit of time as well.
not complaing.. just trying to give you an idea of what's involved. i love a challenge!

Re: 1/2A stunt trainer design
Thanks Eric!
It went pretty well but, took quite a bit of time just to get it all packaged. I printed from what I can tell full size plans that I pieced together from Eric. So thank you Eric!
I also included a clear acrylic handle with each kit.
Hopefully I broke even on this project
I will have to start looking into getting my own laser. Maybee one with a bigger bed. I have done some learning and still am. Balsa is tricky to cut and generally needs to bee cut at high speed and low power. Most required multiple passes so not to char the wood.
Ill bee happy with whatever you send Eric.. we made a deal and I have enjoyed bringing the VS to life.
May need to sell some VS kits. Too many hours in it not to share but, that's up to you.

ok...
i went ahead and recessed the stringers that run from the cockpit to rudder so that they are even with the formers like the pics show. i think it would bee easier building.

Re: 1/2A stunt trainer design
Well back to the original plane that I started this thread with
Got it painted yellow with some black accents and my son says "it looks like bumble bee". So to stay with the bee "look". I grabbed the masking tape and did it up
Maybee name it the stinger or something....
Anyway I did pick up a small tank and will run a horseshoe back mount engine. Other than the tank beeing mounted do that the supply line is in line with the intake, how should it bee mounted? Solid mount or some sort of rubber mount?

Tank on the out board side of the fuse , you will find on the horse shoe mount that cant get to the screws if turned wrong so not that many choices this is the way I had mine

Re: 1/2A stunt trainer design
i ended up making a tin strap and mounted the tank right behind the firewall. this thing really was not designed with an external tank in mind. i used a 3/8 oz wedge. hope to finish it up later today and will post pics.

Re: 1/2A stunt trainer design
this will bee the next one up for sale once i get one build to make sure it goes together correctly. i will have 25-30 hours into the project but looks to be a nice simple build if anyone is interested. i am in the process of cutting first article parts and adding more detail to the drawing.
but, i have a couple other projects first
it's a 1950 Veco Scout "Old Time Stunt Plane"
25.83" Wing Span. with a 5.2" constant cord

The Scout is a good flying airplane for a old design. The Baby Tomahawk is my favorite .049 profile and a terrific little flyer. Ken

not sure yet. i need to get it all correct and finish laying it out for cutting but, i don't think it will bee too bad.
once i get ready to cut a few, i will figure out what the wood costs. i also want to put one together to make sure it's all good

i'm open for suggestions.. i am also laying the pinto out for myself. if there is one that a few guys would like to build and not someone else's current production plane, i would bee happy to look into doing it.
i like the looks of this magnum. anyone know who made/makes it? possibly scale it down for a smaller engine.

Soon
I still need to get out with my second trainer and bipe.
I tried running the engine today. And could not get it running. Will take it apart and see what's up. Next is a longer fuse version.
I hope tomorrow afternoon I get get out for a bit..had some showers today and then I got windy for a while. Killing me not to be able to get out at least a couple times a week.
