My flying buddy, Bob would love that. He's built every Musciano model there is, and was good friends with Walt when they lived near each other. His Stunt Rocket in the famous picture(not 1/2A) is a prototype he built from fiberglass. I'd love a 1/2A event too, on top of our informal fun-fly every year.

Go to a club meeting and suggest it! Offer to organize the event.
There was talk of adding a single engine class to the scale contest but nothing came of it until I pushed it.
Get 'er Done Rusty!

Man, that Musciano Event is bugging me...and it's far enough away to be thinking about it for a while!
Perhaps we could have us a warm-up at this year's S.M.A.L.L. event in Little Rock...

Looks like a great venue Jim! Will you be competing in the Navy-Carrier and Speed events? Would I be correct in assuming that you'll be bringing your F2G Corsair, Chambers R1 and Musciano Thunderbird? All VERY cool models!

I hope to have the chambermaid done in time. Will definitely take the Bellanca tri motor, the thunderbird, and the mustang with a Thunder Tiger .36 for speed. As far as carrier I have a bearcat I am trying to get trimmed. The Corsair is to big and heavy to go fast but hangs beautifully for low speed. I may try it with the MVVS .15 I just picked up and see if I can get a little more top end out of it. That engine is supposed to be a real powerhouse, almost on par with a cox conquest from what I understand.

That Bellanca tri-motor is awesome Jim!! Any pics of the Bearcat? I don't recall it.. Had you previously posted about it? I'd love to see some pics. I've always been amazed by the Navy Carrier event.. and the mechanical complexities involved with setting up the model. I'm sure that it's quite a painstaking process of trial and error for which I give you a lot of credit.

Jim, if you can find the control line venturi, it will yield more rpm's. It's a bit too large and fuel draw can suffer. I noticed this on release. I was able to find a piece of tubing that slid inside to choke it down a bit. But overall, it offered rpm's of and over 20k. It's also good to see your not using the ridiculous muffler that they provided. That muffler design is probably one of the worst designs I ever seen. I would like to make a offset header pipe for mine. Ken
