Bent Overflow Tube On Golden Bee
Hi there. I just got a Golden Bee engine, and on it, the lower overflow tube is bent back at approximately 45 degrees. Is there any particular way to straighten it, or just carefully and gently straighten it with pliers? Any help or advice is welcome.

If it don't leak don't touch. Seriously. They are pressed in and once they are out of position they tend to fall out...

Ok, so I went and checked the engine out. The tube in question was actually dislodged from the hole in which it sits, and had a crack in it where it was bent. So, I took it apart to verify, and indeed it was loose. But at the same time, the engine appeared to have never been run. Anyways, I had re-inserted the tube into position, although 1/16" lower from the top inside the tank and carefully tapped it in to seal. I had then taken 99% alcohol and wiped the area clean and allowed it to dry. I then carefully applied a small amount of JB Weld around the tube, and I am now sitting here typing this as it dries for 24 hours.

That might work. It may eventually give in to vibration and fuel. Maybe if you take it to a jeweler or machinist they can weld it. Was the tube cracked, or was it the tank?

100 % it was the tube. A small piece still sits on my bench. I was going to replace it with a piece of brass tubing I have here, but I would have to enlarge the hole slightly as my tubing is slightly larger. The repair I did should hold, but if not, I will replace it with a piece of brass tubing then.

Pull a short piece of silicon tube on the free end to make up for the loss of length and allow the use of full tank capacity.

Sand the surface of the brass to make it fit where you want it to. You are only taking off a few thou so some fine sandpaper will cut it in no time.
The original was aluminum and treated in a similar manner.
